NETWORK FOR ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS ADVOCACY OF NIGERIA is a not-for-profit Association, incorporated and registered under the provisions of Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2004 (“CAMA”) affirming our commitment to (1) To promote and develop intellectual property rights ; (2) improve the overall benefits for intellectual property works; (3) reduce the infringement of intellectual property Rights and development; in co-operation with like-minded persons and organisations both locally and internationally, DO HEREBY make, enact and give to ourselves the following Constitution

The Association is established to advance electricity consumer rights and satisfaction with the aim of using consumer education, consumer advocacy, consumer satisfaction and to foster a better and fair electricity services to all Nigerians.  

Objectives

1. promote and engage in all aspects of electricity  consumer generally through education, protection, research, advocacy and electricity consumer rights development;

2. Ensure fair electricity services to all electricity consumers in the emerging digital electricity billing new era.

3. promote and protect Electricity consumers in Nigeria through provision of free advice; free representation of electricity consumer advocacy, supply of free technical advice and guidance; organise program that will foster a better relationship between electricity providers, regulatory agencies and electricity consumers in Nigeria.

4. and carry out media, counselling, training, educational, and consumer campaigns; and implement programmes and other initiatives all to promote better electricity consumer rights and satisfaction  in general, and, in particular, to control unfair treatment of electricity consumers.

5. procure to be written and print, publish, issue and circulate gratuitously any relevant reports, research or periodicals, books, pamphlets, leaflets, or other documents that will promote electricity consumer education;

6. arrange and provide for, or join in arranging and providing for, the holding of exhibitions, meetings, lectures, seminars, workshops and classes designed to promote, sustain and maintain the purposes of the Association;

7. promote, encourage or undertake research, organised investigation and electricity consumer needs satisfaction;

8. foster and encourage for Nigerian to the promotion of electricity consumers  education and rights by promoting electricity consumer rights  generally with particular assistance to people affected with unfair electricity services provision.

9. affiliate or become affiliated to any entity having only charitable purposes or a charitable purpose as its objects or object and acquire all or any part of the assets, liabilities and engagements of any such body to further the purposes of the Association;
